Development
TilEm2 is a free software
project licensed under the GNU GPL v3+
(portions are licensed as LGPL or another GPL compatible license).
Our development is “user driven”: you are the
most important thing for us (we don't care about money or power.)
New contributors are always welcome; you don’t need to be a
programmer (although it doesn’t hurt.) There are many ways you
can help:
- Reporting bugs.
- Artwork/photography (we are still in need of high-quality background images for some calculator models.)
- Distribution packaging.
- Writing documentation, articles and/or tutorials.
- Sending patches to improve the code.
The current maintainers of TilEm are Thibault Duponchelle
and Benjamin Moody (but many other people have played a part in
making this program possible). If you’d like to help, please
contact us!
Bug tracker
We have an
online bug tracker
hosted on SourceForge. Please use it to report any problems you
encounter with TilEm.
Code
TilEm is developed online
using Subversion. If you
are interested in helping with TilEm development, or if you just want
to try the latest “bleeding-edge” version, you can
download it using:
svn checkout https://tilem.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/tilem/trunk tilem
You can also
browse the code via the Web.
Be warned that this code is in active development, and may or
may not be working at any given time. If
you’re not interested in getting your hands dirty fixing bugs,
please stick to the latest official
release of TilEm.
We have
a forum
for TilEm users hosted on SourceForge.
There is also a mailing list
where we discuss TilEm development; non-developers are also welcome.
